Facing the choices, writing the framework
This week I finished writing contextual review of my Thesis book. As typical for me, the word count came out as about double to what I had planned. I should learn when to stop, but it has always been difficult for me as I keep changing things or finding new material that feels essential to include. This problem I have also when making the practical visual work. As the result to making an overlong contextual review I am now behind my schedule in both writing and visual work. However now I feel satisfied with the framework the review sets to my project.
"In this chapter I will introduce the major contexts relevant to my
inquiry. By doing so I aim to engage the reader and start discussion on the
theoretical, intellectual and practical framework of my practice based project.
I will begin by opening up the phenomena of domestic migration in Thailand.
Next I want to critically discuss and evaluate the contradictory roles and
representation of Thai women inside the changing, contemporary Thai society.
Finally I will present a small set of practitioners whose works have played an
important role in my own creative practice and forming of the project, notably;
Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, Guy Denning, Thomas Leuthard, Christian Phongphit and
Ellen Boccuzzi."

THE CONTEXT OF PRACTICE
Next week I will start to analyze my methods for the next chapter of the book, but I may lay down writing a bit and concentrate more on the Visual work.
I realize I am facing major choices about what to include to the final works.
