Milla's Reflective Monday vol.6

Fading to the walls

This week I have been mostly doing visual works and started to write Methodology Chapter of the Thesis book. Lately I have been writing a lot about my work and the contextual frames of it. Through this writing my thinking has cleared on what i want from the final visual works. The keywords and possibly names of the final mixed media and installation artworks will be:

Daughter, Mother, Body, Spirit and Fate

After the second semester the idea of women vanishing to the walls of the city has been in my mind. In the final artwork I want to also question beliefs of karma, birthright and fate, is it possible to change it? I want to show the contradictions of these beliefs in relation to Thai women of today and invite the audience to look in a mirror and reconsider the outlived attitudes that keep these women fading to the walls instead of being respected as an important part of the society.

Next week I aim to develop these ideas further with the feedback that I will get in our work in progress presentations on Wednesday.

In progress....

"Mother"

"Body"
