After
discussion on last Wednesday, I was reminded again to think about
“What are my position now? Which aspect am I dealing with in the
context of Thainess? What does my work want to explore?”
According
to the novel Four Reigns by M.R. Kukrit, he clinched and constructed
an inequality in Thainess. As the previous painting includes Manee's
portrait (a girl from primary school books), by chance, in the
context of Thai society, she is a role model for girls to act, talk
or behave like her or as a good girl. From this connection, it made
me understand clearer of what I missed.
I
had read two articles, the first one is “What Is Social
Construction?” by Laura Flores and the second one is “It's All In
The Family: Intersection Of Gender, Race And Nation” by Patricia
Hill Collins.

Then
I try to arrange my thought and put into a sentence...
“I
want to explore the constructed of ideology in Thai family through
surrealist methods.”
There
are many aspects inside the word “ideology” and I do not know yet
what I want to focus on.
...hierarchy...feminine...masculine...
...rhetoric
by members in Thai family that leads to social event...
...examining
of Thai language and inequality within a Thai family...(introduced by
Jan)

Furthermore,
I am currently working for more visual exploration and I hope to find
more stuffs about this notion.
Some really good work here Pete ... you seem to be firming up your thinking and understanding the context of your work far more ... keep it up ;)
